[Announcement] Design work on hold

Hey all,

Firstly let me say that clipshare's a great piece of software although it has its flaws it achieve's alot more than many others on the net

On the design side, the lack of a fully css driven system means that editing and creating unique designs takes time and many people after spending alot of money on the software cannot afford to spend alot more.

I think it's pointless for myself to recreate a css based template as the system has already been implemented into the new version of clipshare (to be released soon.) Unfortunately my request to join the clipshare design team to create templates was not responded to which is ashame.

I've already recieved around 25 pm's regarding template designs and i recieve on average 1 a day - this is alot of work and alot of time and i cannot fulfill everyones request. So in response to this once the new version of clipshare is released i will create several top quality templates in different styles and will only release a limited number ( a small fee will be required.) - Personalisation of the logo will be included.

Why is this better than doing a unique design one at a time?
- Clipshare is a new software and theres one thing it desperately needs and thats templates.
- There simply is to much demand in the community for everyone to get their own unique design at a low price (it takes to much time with the current system)
- The new way means a lower cost for the enduser as they are being sold in larger numbers.
- A new design just now would mean compatibility problems with the new version.

So to finish off, im waiting for the new version of clipshare i don't believe it will be to long and expect a template within the first week of release.

Good call Chris. Waiting on the release of the new version is a sound plan.

Shame about not putting you on the official CS Design team to create templates though.

I too still waiting the new release before starting re-design CS...

I think once they put together a decent css driven template you'll see a lot of people more eager to make templates.
