Basic color changes...

Dear Fellow Clip Share Script Owners,

This post is about how you can easily change the colors of your script...

1. To change the color from green to any other color on the script you need to edit a couple of thing's...starting with the images!

2. Open up your script file and go into the images folder, once there you need to choose the following images:

nv_1_bg.jpg
nv_2_bg-50.jpg
nv_2_bg.jpg
nv_2_l.jpg
nv_2_r.jpg
nv_3_l.jpg
nv_3_r.jpg

And open them in paint or any other image editor and change them to whatever color you like...once done simply upload them to your website images folder!

3. Open the style.css file in the css folder and locate the following color code: #7DB335 - Just look through the coding until you find them all.

Then choose the color code you want to replace it with and replace all the references to the default color above!

The result is basically what I have done to get my purple template...

To complete all the color changes on the script in all the pages after that you will need to edit the templates in the template folder...you can easily tell which one is which and whether it's a template by the name of it and the file extension of ".tpl"...

Hi Richard, I am having great difficulty changing the color in style for HOME, UPLOAD, WATCH...FRIENDS. I thought they would be navigation_bold....but it did not work....I am at a loss.

Sorry I haven't been here for a while to help you out, I also had to open another account on the forum as I couldn't find out my login details...LOL.

JEROME: Chris is right look for the " a: link " in the style sheet file to change the color of the links in the tabs, if you want to change the buttons themselves you can do that by editing the button picture in your images folder.

Tastyfood: Yeah I do have a link to an example but I recently redone it to a nice blue/green template and rounded off some corners and added a news section, I do still have to get the videos working though but you can see what I mean, if you know what your doing this type of skin change can be done in about an hour or so depnding how quick you work.

This works great for a bit, but I searched half the templates but I can't find the color green for the following:

- the mediaplayer
- social bookmarks
- and the legend with public videos, private video's mebers etc.

can someone tell me where to find those colors green ?

guys you can find these values easily if you downloaded the IE developer toolbar or firefox's firebug tool.

it'll show you everything your looking for on a webpage.
