[New Template Demo] Clearwater 2.6 By ClipshareTemplates.com

This is a 'pre-demo' website. The purpose is to have people's opinions and find any bugs in the design. An additional demo will be put up hosted by clipshare in due time.

ClipshareTemplates.com introduces the long awaited alternative to the Lightside Template named Clearwater. Clearwater is a stunning clean design incorporating many web2.0 design features and ensuring your website will standout.

This template will be available as an upgrade to current lightside customers. The current lightside design will not be ported into 3.0 and instead will be discontinued. Clearwater will take over from Lightside.

This is Clearwater 2.6 - Clearwater for 3.0 will be a little more advanced due to additional features.

Information

Name: Clearwater 2.6 (AKA Lightside 2.6)
Structure: Tableless Design with css stylings
Colour Schemes: Blue (more will come, green and red is planned.)
Clipshare Version: 2.6 (made upon the 2.6 release although can be applied to earlier versions)
Ad Placements: Precise, webstandard ad sizes and placements to ensure advertisers are happy - Great Click through rate on adsense.

[ATT] I've uploaded some flv's which i had so the thumbs of the current videos are not amazing. If you would like to try out the site and upload a movie please either create a new account or simply use the demo account verified below.

Ohh I would also like to mention Darkside will be using the same structure but of course will be a dark variant of the above. It's almost done and looks very sleek.

Awesome work man! It's good to finally see a template that take into account ad placement. I will do some testing later today and let you know if I encounter any bugs. But it looks fantastic so far.

Thanks, Also like to just say the video on the home page at the top right. The 'video of the day place' is simply an ad space. so you can add a big 300x250 banner or google ad and it will get clicks.

Thats if you didn't want to display the video of course.

Yeppers! Coding in an ad spot to use for videos is the way to go. The end client can then paste any of his/her embed codes into that ad spot to update the video (on the front page like in your template, for instance).

I've found a bug, I just edited the demo profile to add an avatar for fun, and when I added the avatar, it wouldn't let me do this until I entered passwords under Account information... This looks like a bug to me...

When sending an invite, the message : Your invite sent successfully

It doesn't really stick out that much. I noticed the same on other pages like when I updated the Avatar, I didn't realise what was wrong and why I couldn't add the avatar until I noticed this message... I think it needs to be a little more visible...

(Also you could change the text to English, but putting, Your invite was sent successfully, but there again, if you've got to correct all bugs in clipshare, you could be there for months!)
