Nice! It looks good - the colors are not too much and not too less

Looks nice, but still the same. I have always hated the general layout of clipshare out of the box. (the greens fine), its just the layout is so generic and (exactly like other clip-share like scripts). there's hundreds of websites running basicly the same 'layout' with variations of colors.

I also hated the 'channels' tab, personal gripe with the word maybe. But "Watch" in my mind should bring you to "channels" and you can use the header footer to select most recent/random ... most what ever. Its like the "Watch" tab is redundant. And if you have extreme shades of content, adult vs funny having them jumbled together by default is annoying. Directing them to select a 'channel' seems like a more sane approach to delivering content then a jumble mess.

I've been working on a 'layout' change, removed alot of the 'dumb features'. And even added some custom things like "Top 10" box on the front page, last 10 viewed, most popular .. even worked out a "Random Video Player", playes one video at random, picks another, reloads the page and continues .. at the same time applying (up to 2.0)'s bug fixes and select mods. Also adding more web 2.0 features such as "blog this" and such buttons to videos.

I don't know if anyone else noticed but there's some other features of clip-share in the code that aren't exactly, complete .. mp3 channels and image channels... Anyone know if those are for the future? I see refrences to this even inside the fuctions.php like it was half done, then ignored.

Its extremely time consuming to do a layout change. theres TONS of little files to change, im not even a quarter way through and its been 2 weeks. Most of the time is spent decoding the tpl files to figure out what exactly is going on with it. (Then the time to fix what I break), and waiting for the artist to get me what i asked for .. it goes on and on.

The web is full of video sharing sites, there's tons of them, and more and more they are all looking about the same. I think layout trumps 'colors'. But its the most difficult of the two things to change and definatly requires amazing creativity (god bless artists).

And yes this one it does look pretty, definatly alot better then the default green. And i like the roundness of the tables and such. Looks more professional. Another suggestion would be to make sure the thumbnails are aligned properly. (thats what got me started in this whole redisgn). I can't stand things not lining up proper. Drives me batshit crazy... and i see that problem on most clipshare sites and that other script as well suffers the same problem. Screams lame ... twit webmaster.. (No offence to any lame twits out there)

Once I'm done and have it all uploaded to the website, i'll post the link. Probably not for a month or two, as it is low priority on my project list. Its at 'hobby' status now. Even though at times i spend 8+ hours on it at a time. And if I figure a way to stream line the process I'd love to be able to share them with everyone, for reasons explained below.

Also Danny, you should consider "Clipshare light" no users, groups ... channels.. nothing fancy, anonymous uploads, unlimited viewing .. (for those interested in generating income from ads only). Opening it up that way does attract a ton of people. $75 bucks, i'd buy it ...

Also, once you have clip-share mostly bug free (and i know i'm going to get flamed on this), you should jack up the price. No offense but making your script extremely affordable lets 'amateurs' (not that i'm not one myself) use your script and on their site represent your script (same layout and often same colors). To a video web surfer the impression of the layout goes down, they turn into "Just another one of THOSE .." I have tried 2 other video sharing scripts, Attachmax and some other POS, yours by far has the most potential and eye candy and you should be compensated for it.

The reason I didn't buy clip-share first was I saw so many sites that looked identical that were a mess, empty ... created alot of negativity in my mind. If not for this forum, I would have passed on clipshare.. this forum makes clip-share 100% better then the others.

I'm done, feel free to get up and pee, thats what I need to do ....

I sure hope that you get rid of all the ugly tables and lack of good CSS support in the new version. I should be able to change all colors and images purely from the CSS, no good reason why I should have to edit 20 different TPL files.
