Squidoo lenses to boost SEO

In the past people were creating Squidoo lenses left and right, and for good reason. You could get a huge boost in your rankings. The problem came with the various algorithm tweaks, as well as Squidoo’s change in policy. Is anybody still using this technique?

I haven't tried using Squidoo lenses, but been anxious to know how it works and how great it will add to your site points.
