Default Program is not (yet) compatible with php5

After visiting the requirements page, we discovered that we needed php version 4.3 or higher.
We just bought a brand new server with PHP version 5.2.3 installed so we thought this would be fine.
Yesterday we had a chat with support and they told us that the program is not compatible with php5 or higher.
The problem is that converting is a background task which isn't supported in php5. I need a new convert.php from the programmers.

The team is working hard now to get 3.0 compatible with php5, so i have to wait for a while. Keep you guys informed.

p.s.
Switching back to 4.3 was impossible because we have other sites running on this server which ain't 4.3 compatible.

i only went back to 2.6 cause chris hasnt developed his template for 3.01 yet....

I have proceeded to compatibility changes for PHP 5, in 3.0.1. This is a private build, not yet released. Perhaps "alter_knacker" has this private build from Danny (doubt that). What I'm guessing is that he has some other than the default PHP 5.x configuration. Today, I will be testing the changes I have made, in a PHP 5 environment and let you know. 3.0.1 is NOT PHP 5 compatible, at least for a default PHP 5 instalallation. "alter_knacker" just got lucky. What I didi was that I dropped the "dev/nul" requiements for executing "exec()" commands. It has worked for PHP 4.x and should work for PHP 5.x.
