Default Google Maps API Integrations

Hello,

Has anyone heard or seen an example of a Clipshare site integrating Google Map API into it? I know Rayzz is working on it, but I haven't seen much discussion from Clipshare.

Thanks!
Josh

I really want that. I tried to do it, but got many errors, so I gave up.

I want one that automatically adds a new video to the map from the video's location info. so you can just click the objects on the map and a video pops up with descriptions.

Thanks MauiNion.
Did you try to do it yourself? I'm not a programmer at all, so I would need to outsource and pay for it. I'm fine with that if I know there are people out there that can do it without bankrupting me

you can go to itlance.com the same company that owns clipshare owns that. Or submit a thread in the feature request. If you do get it done, send me a pm and maybe I will pay some of the cost to add it to my site too.

Thanks...hmmm, quite a nice (and convenient) side business for these folks. Where's the incentive to build a more robust, bug-free tool if they also make money on support and customization?? :P A clever business model!

I don't think they do the customization, its a freelancing site that they own.

Once they hired Aryos, they built a much better product. I would hate to be in the support business, so many frantic people without a clue causing problems and passing blame to you all day. I respect my quality of life too much for that crap.

At the end of the day, I'd prefer to buy a solid product from Company X, and have Person Y customize/fix it. If Company X and Person Y are not related, I'm a happy camper.

I agree. I just wish someone would offer a free mod for the maps integration.

Yeah, agreed. I was reading www.evanreiser.com, and it looks like the guy built his own YouTube clone, as well as another site using Google Maps and photo albums for street graffiti. Would be great to blend the two....

Check out http://icommunity.tv/
News clips mashed with Google Maps API.
Looks like the site uses Drupal? Trying to read more about Drupal now...
