Site Hacked

Since Ive tried to get into the version 3 support for over 6 months and cannot because the site support has never answered my question, I have to ask here.

My site has been hacked and they replaced all the index files. How would they do so without the server passwords. The guy has a castle and it says stack own3z You, Stack@hotmail.fr

Any one have more info so I can fix and remove this A**h**e

I got it back up but ALL my index files were affected. How does this happen?

I'm guessing your host is Apthost. There was a mass defacement on their servers which affected the kernal. It's not just your site.

Was it their shared hosting servers that were hacked?

Yep, they said it was a hole in the security.

All my index files were changed. I rewrote them with the permissions set at 444 now there harder to replace.

And Apthost takes forever to get back to me, over a day. My host for my website gets back to me in less than 2 minutes always. And has the problem fixed in minutes, always. I been with them for 2 years now and very pleased. Real web host. My video's are on the semi dedicated with apt host and my forum is on a dedicated with real web host.

my web Salsa video site got hacked this night. Main tables in database are deleted. I am not sure if anything else was tampered.
Lacky for me I have recent backup.

Attacker comes from Mexico. He left message Hacked by Daanrack. WWW.LEAFVIDEO.COM - REALLY PREMIUM VIDEO HOSTING

Attacker ip address was: 89.173.3.31
Time of attack: 13 Apr 01:06:25 gmt +1

He was searching for vulnerable web sites by typing into google:
"Quickly upload and tag videos in almost any video format"

He has channel on youtube so i asked him how did he hacked web site.

I installed script in November 2008 following carefully instructions and ever since i haven't changed anything on my web site. Where is this securyity flaw he find?

Where can I report this crime?
