Default Multi Server mod for clipshare 3.

I still after requesting to join members area didnt get the access therefore writing this post in this forum.

We need to get multiserver mod for clipshare 3.0, we are happy to pay for it, we are running a business and our website is already generating 14000 visitors a day with over 130000 pages views a day. We are planning to expand but to do so we would need multi server mod which we can not get it from ClipShare as they no longer support 3.0.

We are trying to achive the following thing, we will have 2 servers, one in Amsterdam and other one in Russia.

Amsterdam server will host entire script (website) and the Russian server will host all the videos, so when the users type in our website name they will be forwarded to our Amsterdam server and when they decided to watch a video all the video will be streamed from Russia without the users knowing it.

Please help us create this mod and we will be happy to pay for it!!!

Isn't it ridiculous?
What multi-server they talk about if their "must" is same server, only subdomain...

Hi! AM I LATE???

You have to modify the upload script with some ip/location table detection.
if ip ??? upload to server_storage2 if not upload server_storage1. (amsterdam)
this is not difficult for someone with basic php knowledge.

Its the same domain, same server, same IP, same company, but different harddisk (for the videos only). The actual Clipshare Script is stored in one place not two..

This is very intresting question,, i maybe could use this my selfe.
I will consult this with my co workers.

There is nothing to hope. Can't you read? "Storage server must be a subdomain of the main server"
What big advantage is with uploading and streaming from same server?
Same CPU is abused, same bandwith is used.

I doubt it is possible to upload such huge files as videos to different server.
I never tried, but from what I read about it, it's complicated and may be faulty...

Easy solution could be to create upload page and all what is required for upload on other server, then redirect user to other server's upload page and if success, redirect back to main server and domain.

dargre you need to understand what

- storage servers must be a subdomain of the main server (eg. main server, www.domain.com, storage server 1: storage1.domain.com) means!!!!

Its means it can be different servers, but must be on a subdomain. IE You can have storage1 pointing to a different IP address to storage 2. Meaning it can be different servers.

Think about it more before replying in such a negative manor.

Yep, but in mentioned example thread there was nothing about that an A record for the subdomain should be cretaed pointing to the IP address of other server.

When people read of subdomain, most think of creating it via panel in simple way within same server and have no idea how to setup it for different server.
And storage is only storage. What about direct upload by users?

Well, there has to be?
If you were to put load.domain.com, you weren't going to point it to a web path. It obviously WAS going to be a A Record. Just point the A Record the the server in Russia, then set-up the Multi-Server, and use load.domain.com
