..on categories?
would it be possible to show different instances of hedaer, footer or other adspots on different channels/categories? lets say someone buys the adspot for motorcycles and only viewing this kind of stuff the ppl see his ads? i know, everything is possible but would that be complicated? |

not using the default template. the only way to do this by placing that particular section into the pages content tpl file. such as index.tpl or categories.tpl and so forth. but then it wouldn't be part of the header or footer.
i am sure it would be possible with the help of some php coding though, which would then place the appropriate ad code into the head1.tpl and footer.tpl files dynamically based on which page is being called. |

Manually inserting it into your .tpl files should be pretty easy. If you want it to work via admin panel. Definetly will be alot more coding.
I have my ads working only via .tpl files. Less risk of something not working right. |

i forgot to say that i have an own adserver.
but when you take a look at www.tv1.at you see that the most important ad is in the header file so i thought maybe its possible to include header1.tpl, header2.tpl, header3.tpl or something like that for the different categories? |

I am doing something similar to that, but its just using the channels feature and the channel description box through admin to ad my ads to the channel page. But My channels are like subcategories the way I configured it.
I really wish I could assign a HUGE ad to the right of each individual video. |

MauiNion, how did you configure your channels like subcategories and have the ad change when the pages changes?
Thanks |
