I have installed the wordpress

But the url is giving me headache www.xxxxx.com/blog is taking to
An error has occured: Sorry, but this user does not exist!

Do you know why the directory is blog is called as user by the script!

The install it into a subdomain, blog.xxx.com and reconfigure the header.php file to link properly.

if you have a username blog then it may conflict. I did not think about this. Subdomain is the only way to go with 3.0.1 then.

Just put link: www.xxxxx.com/blog/index.php and install into main domain

Actually with the addition of the missing [L] flags and a simple RewriteCond, this problem can be fixed. Took all of about 2 minutes. The mod_rewrite code that comes with CS3 in the .htaccess file, is far from perfect!!! I am currently rewriting mine using proper regex.
