Any experience with HostGator as host?

Moving from HostV to somewhere else.... looking at HostGator.com's Dedicated Servers ... anyone have any experiences, good or bad, to share?
(They do support Clipshare and will host adult sites as long as they comply with U.S. laws)

BAD CHOICE.
Hostgator is fine company for SHARED plans, but not for dedicated.
Recently I worked on site hosted with Hostgator dedi. Really strange things I experienced with streaming movies...
And finally their dedicated offers are not so great.

Can you recommend someone? Obviously you were right about HostV ... I need to find someone with GOOD, RELIABLE Support ... I don't mind paying as long as they have good support ... this whole HostV and ClipShare thing is driving me nuts because of lack of support from both ends...
So, who should I use; who do you recommend?

some VPS :
Cirtex / HostV forget IT
APTHOST forget IT
have two customers at infrenion, not bad if you are able to keep your bitrate lower than 800Kbps, Infrenion has a good time response to tickets and don't forget is only a VPS....

A good dedicated is also theplanet

The planet provides the dedicated to Hostgator, so same story if what dargre said is true.

If you are moving to a dedicated server, make sure to ask the hoster about pre-installed FFMpeg components (unless you want to install them yourself).

well I would suggest Infrenion...
hostgator is only for shared, low BW sites
