Default Hosting question

I am considering buying the clipshare pro and have a question on hosting. Do the videos and the website reside on the same server? We I need to have clipshare or someone like limelight networks host the videos and website? I checked the clipshare hosting packages. How much does the video transfer cost? I am a newbie.

Hello and welcome to the Clipshare community!

Yes, the website and video reside on the same server, but if you need the videos to reside elsewhere, there's fix for that in one of the threads.

Good luck!

Danny...I'm not I understand the question. I don't have a link yet. My question was a general question on whether I need to have my own server (such as Limelight Networks or StreamHoster) or Clipshare host my website. Is the hosting cost based on traffic?

I was asking KAT to provide the link to the forum thread where someone explains a way to host the video files on a different location.

To answer your question, ClipShare is just a script, you get it completely and you can host it anywhere you want. You can buy hosting that we recommend and host it there.
