Photo Galleries & Clip of Day

Hi,

I feel ClipShare has some really good features. And the member profiles seem thorough enough - above average for a video site. (some video share software have almost NO profile info, which is bad) So, all this is great..

However, am I missing something?

1) Why can't a member make 'Photo Albums' that show on their profile page and perhaps (site can have) a 'Photo Tab' -as an option in its navigation bar?

2) Secondly, why can't admin SELECT Manually, -or- perhaps a random (auto selected) "Most Viewed" or "Most Popular Vote" Clip of the day - for display on home page? We can call it "Editors Choice" or "Daily Featured" or whatever the admin chooses. You know?

Definitely good points, i'd like to see these. I dont think the profiles are thorough enough though, would like to see more input available and also users videos ect on there profiles. be a nice touch

I AGREE. But, please allow me to be clear. I'm not stating the profiles are perfect. I am stating that in comparison to many other "video share" type scripts, at least Clip Share has "more" thorough profiles. I do wish they were totally expandable though..

To agree with what your saying - if it was up to me, the profile would be something completely "expandable" and customizable by admin. And EASILY so. Not some weird "code string" thing... In Summary: If the site's admin wants to ask every person who joins, their favorite food or whatever - and make it a mandatory question/answer - so be it. We should be able to do this.

If this is not doable now, when will it be? And, the video on home page as "editor pick" or whatever we call it, is equally important. Lastly, I feel the photo galleries may be in there now? I'm not sure. (cannot see it in user demo) Further, there's no admin demo up! I mean, how could a nice software like this have no pic gallery option for its members?? Video is awesome and the site would revolve around it. But, there's a saying in the arts... And, it's something about 'nothing can equal a good photo'. Wish I could remember the exact words... But you get the point. Can anyone answer these basic questions?
