Cs 4, Php 5

I just got CS and I am running PHP 5 and not 4 and I get a lot of 404 errors (non in the backend because obviously thats not mod_rewrite links). Anyone know whats going on? I know my .htaccess is right, my mod_rewrite is loaded, but when you click on any link to the frontend it shoots out a 404 error.

Must be other than PHP5 reason.
I tested 2.6, 3.0 and 4.xx versions with PHP5 and didn't noticed any problem.
Current CLipShare on my site is also running with PHP 5.2.5 and MySQL 5.0.51a.
Reason can be wrong variable for $config[BASE_URL] in file "include/config.php" (did you check what real url is? check link properties in your browser). If it is wrong, you can set it manually.

Pretty sure base url is right.

When I click on a link it send me to the right page: for instance

I click on Signup link, then the browser goes to: /signup

It shoots backa 404 error. But if I add .php at the end of it it loads the page correctly.

In the backend all the links work because they are not rewritten.

Any ideas?

So you have a problem with mod rewrite and not PHP.
Did you installed script on base domain or in folder?

Nope, root no subdomain.

Is there a setting in the mysql I should check or all settings in the config, dbconfig?

Im stumpped I have been lurking google for hours on end.

Hi,

Clipshare 4.x was developed on PHP 5.2.3 (5.2.4, 5.2.5), so it works with php 5.

I am running PHP5 and Clip Share 4.xx and my problem is that I keep getting this error:

PHP CLI missing (/local/bin)
MEncoder missing (/usr/local/bin/mencoder)
MPlayer missing (/usr/local/bin/mplayer)
FFMpeg missing (/usr/local/bin/ffmpeg)
FLVTool2 missing (/usr/local/bin/flvtool2)
Formats Error (mplayer or mencoder not installed)!

I've checked on the server and each of these components is installed where they're supposed to be installed. The script does what its supposed to but then does not create a thumbnail and the videos do not play. And... the foter of my admin section does not tell me what version of Clip Share I am using. Instead I get Version: CLIPSHARE_VERSION.CLIPSHARE_PATCHLEVEL - I added that in just in case it was relevant.
