Hi,
My pre-sales questions are: 1) Both video conversion and streaming require a lot of server resources. And if many users upload videos at one time I guess video conversions will affect streaming performance if they are done on the same server. May be it will be better to separate conversions and streaming to different servers? Is it possible to configure the Multi-server plug-in this way? 2) Is it possible to load initial content (i.e 1000 clips) in bulk mode or I need to load each clip one by one through the web interface? When preparing the content for loading to what format my clips should be converted to skip or lighten the conversion routine during the initial loading? Thanks! |

Another question: Is it possible to create more fields (e.g. advertising text links) in content items in addition to video title, description, tags, etc.?

Hi,
1. Currently the multi-server module doesnt work the way you want, conversion and streaming and done on the same server, but this server is different from the main (site and thumbs) server. If you decide to buy the multi-server module, please make sure you have ssh root access on all servers. 2. Please write a email to our sales department and ask about the bulk starting upload. Probably they can arange this for you. 3. If you know PHP/MySQL/html/smarty then its possible. |
