DO NOT purchase clip-share if you expect to have your script up and running any time within a couple of weeks. Unlike some other script support, clip-share only has ticket support, which they don't always seem to answer.

Do not reply in this thread with "I purchased clip-share and had my installations taken care of within 24 hours" guess what, you were lucky. If you want to take the risk of maybe having your script installed, or maybe not, then be my guest.

My first support request for multi-server installation to clip-share: 18th of July - I specify that one of my hosts prefers to handle installation of SSH / root access installations themselves and if it is possible for clip-share to leave instructions on what my host needs to do for that part of the installation - all other information (FTP / mysql info / etc) was listed.

I get a reply on the 26th of July yes, one WEEK later, saying "The multi-server module can only be installed if you have ssh root access" without addressing whether my host can use ssh root access or whether I have to insist that my host provides it.

I myself then had to leave for a trip for about a week since they took so damned long to reply the first time, and send them another reply on August 4th with SSH access.

Aidan claims he could "install it right now" on August 4th at 3:08PM, I reply with the SSH access information at 4:51PM on the same day.

A week passes with NO REPLY, and by August 8th I send another message asking what the hell is going on. NO REPLY.

Weekend passes, and we're reaching end of the day monday, and I am still left with NO REPLY.

So if you would like weeks or months between your installation for a buggy script with a weird package system that doesn't make any sense amongst other things, then go right ahead.

Also, don't be fooled by not having access to the 'private forums' - this was part of my reason for purchasing, I thought there would be tons of useful information in the mod section / template section / etc, maybe something like what vBulletin has. There isn't.

Yes I agree support do take long to reply to tickets and it took over a month to get my script installed and working. but its working now and I have had no problems with it - the script is PERFECT, as for MODS - I agree there are very few at the moment, which does suck, but if you host an adult site your choice of script is limited cos there are a few out there but they do not allow adult content. All in All clip-share is a fantastic script we just need some people to make some MOD's

but the fact of the matter is , once you have it set up, you will be happy and not post a response here saying things are ok

if you can not set your server up yourself, you have to be prepared to wait

on some servers it might be easy to setup in a few hours

on some servers, you can run into a hole bunch of problems, which could take time to resolve

just wait things out, it will probably get done in the end i whould bet

what are you expecting here anyways

the new version of cs 4.0.7 is only a few months or weeks old

if you used the older version theres tons of mods, most user added, don't start slagging users off who spend time and effort posting helpful mods etc, most of the time for free

this is not a open source script with thousands of activce users and devoplers and can not be comparred to anything like that

stop moaning and post helpful advise, usefull info if you want help from poeple, otherwise no one will help you

Okay then, I didn't really look at the older versions since they are outdated, this still doesn't say anything for clip-share's piss poor support
