X amount of "Online Visitors"

At the bottom of the page of ClipShare 4.0 it reads "x Online Visitors". Does that mean how many users are on the site at that given moment? If it does how accurate is that?

This has been discussed before, I just dont have the link in front of me.

It is not Accurate for "on line users" as it counts persistant connections etc.

I do believe they said they are working on a better solution in upcoming releases.

I figured it wasn't very accurate because the stats displayed was so much higher that the stats reported in Google Analytics, so I knew there had to be a problem.

Man, once you'll be more experienced with websites, you will now that none of statistics scripts works same way, each of statistics script shows more or less different results.
This is your choice to choose the one that you think is most adequate to your traffic.
