Moderator class usergroup:

It would be nice if we didn't have to open up the back end to those that we would make moderators. Often the people you choose to help you moderate a site, knows little to nothing about the software. Your choice is based off trust, and the knowledge that those whom you've chosen will police your site in a way you would want. So perhaps having a Moderator as well as a User, usergroup. They would then need the way to make users "inactive", make videos private, etc, from the frontend....

or

Perhaps, via the backend, when they log in using a different UID then the admin, they would only have the "Users" and "Videos" available to them. This would keep the advertising code, paths, and settings shielded from the Mods.

Really wouldn't matter how it was done to me. How ever would work out best for CS. But these sites need more then one mod.

Hi,

This means a new column in the signup table (group_id or GID), also moving
the admin username to the signup table. GID will be for the user group,
GID = 0 (admin), GID = 1(moderator), GID...GID=5 (user). I guess it can
be done for 4.1.

Can be done in few different ways.
In modification I prepared:
I created new table for moderators only. (no admin among mods).
Then admin in settings can add/remove unlimited number of moderators and set permission access for: edit users, edit channels, edit groups, edit videos, remove videos (separately for each).

i have in plan to make moderation options....
I just need to finish 2mod for my site than I start to making moderation mod....
I need moderation mod for my site too, so I will try to make quick as i can ...
