I don't know if its there or not but if its not there then I think its important to display the version number of CS in the siteadmin because if I don't install certain new versions and jump from an old to the latest version sometime later, I should know how outdated my CS files are.

i'm agree, all of the most important and professional script have this feature in the admin main panel... showing the latest version available and the current version installed on your server... so that way you can see if your version installed is out of date or if you have the latest version....

Hi,
I added this feature in 4.0.6, but due to a bug it doesnt work, it will work in 4.0.7. |

So, it's safe to assume that if we do NOT have a version number, we're running 4.0?
I can't remember what I installed, it's been so long ago... Any way of finding out the version number? is it in the files somewhere? |

This has been a long time as much as I can remember. The latest version we currently have is the 4.1 and I think most bugs has already been fixed. Thanks to that.
