Nicholas: I am not in a position to say, it would not be proper for me to advertise a competitor to clip-share here on their forum and especially as I am an advisor and a proactive user of clip-share myself.

Sorry, best I can do is say the $500 script. Please do not PM me, I refuse to divert potential customers or otherwise!

Flickscript or Clip-Share?: It has to be Clip-Share purely for the fact that there are no ongoing charges going back to the original developer.

Sorry Joe, didn't mean to put you in an uncomfortable position. I basically didn't know anything about websites and scripts and such until a couple months ago, so I ask a lot of questions.
Regards,
Nicholas

Joe, the script you're mentioning has indeed a little more features, but it has all the bugs that ClipShare initially had.

That's not cool to be mentioning another product. It's like someone going into a Linux forum and talking about Microsoft.

Well Clipshare has been good for me. I have been quite impressed with what I have been getting. I paid for all the little goodies including the lifetime updates, for the price its well worth every shilling!

Certainly there are some other scripts out there but I have not read nor heard anything good about them.

hope that helps
Kent

Well, I believe the script that JOE was mentioning can't even be accessible now. If it's who I think he's referring to, their site is down and a big fat "THIS ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED" page now stands in place of their otherwise bad product. If that's not embarrassing, then I don't know what is. (Ha!)

Here's a screenshot from one of our competitors forum (the ones that Joe claims to be the best). They copied our exact forum structure including descriptions. They didn't even bother to remove our name (ClipShare) from the descriptions This says alot about them...

I dunno if that really sums anything up.. there's folks here who use other people's wordings and layouts as a guide and then just improve upon them -- like my terms and/or privacy stuff for example, there are some folks here who've used them but forgot to take out references to my site and I don't mind and that doesn't really make them any less or anything like that...
